What is Cloud Computing?

Cloud computing means using someone else's computers (servers) over the internet instead of physically buying and owning them yourself. It's like renting an apartment instead of buying a house; you get all the benefits without the maintenance responsibilities.

The cloud model offers three key advantages:

  • On-demand resources: Spin up new servers in minutes, not weeks
  • Pay-as-you-go: Only pay for resources you actually use
  • Managed services: Let AWS handle the complex infrastructure tasks

What is Serverless?

Serverless computing is an execution model where cloud providers automatically manage infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and maintenance. Developers deploy code without configuring or managing servers, operating systems, or runtime environments.
